INTERNATIONAL TRAINING COURSE ON GLOBAL FRAMEWORK FOR CLIMATE SERVICES (GFCS)

ENROLMENT INFORMATION
The International Training Course on Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) is organized by China Meteorological Administration (CMA)Training Centre/ WMO Regional Training Centre Beijing (RTC-Beijing) and National Climate Centre (NCC)/Beijing Climate Centre (BCC), sponsored by CMA.
Courses Aim
The course is aimed to enhance the trainees’ understanding in Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) and to introduce China Framework for Climate Services (CFCS), to provide the trainees with related operational technologies and methods in relation to climate services, and to increase the trainees’ ability about climate services.
Expected Learning Outcomes
After the courses, participants will be able to:
- get a better understanding of GFCS and CFCS;
- deliver the climate services related to agriculture and food security, disaster risk reduction, health and water resource areas;
- improve climate prediction capability including statistical downscaling method;
- use Forecast System on Dynamical and Analogy Skills (FODAS) to predict national and regional precipitation and temperature;
In addition, the participants have opportunities to attend the Thirteenth Session of the Forum on Regional Climate Monitoring, Assessment and Prediction for Asia (FOCRAII 1/5 1 2 3 4 5 nextpage endpage |
